Coyle estimates that in previously sedentary individuals, improvements in a1cnow muscle strength can be improved by 50% following the appropriate training program. There are very few reports of drugs improving performance by more than 10%, and in fact, the improvement in well-trained individuals shown by most studies is not even close to 10%. However, while it is true for most biological studies that a change of less than 10% is considered a1cnow trivial, in many athletic events an improvement in performance by far less than 10% represents the difference between a winner and an also-ran. |
